Kittens Found in a boot of a Car:

These 4 kittens were found after being locked in a car boot for 2 days in
sweltering temperatures.

The car had been in a pound for stolen vehicles and was due to be crushed when Gareth Nutt, a young man who works there, heard their cries and opened the boot. He was astonished to find the 3 week old kittens in a very distressed state and rushed off to buy kitten milk and tiny feeding bottles. He fed them immediately and took them home to care for them before ringing our branch. When we picked them up they were very thin and dehydrated and needed intensive feeding.

The article appeared in two of the largest local newspapers and we received over 100 calls offering the kittens a home so when they are ready to go they will be guaranteed a good life with caring families. They were so fortunate that such a kind young man found them and knew what to do to save their lives, as they could not have survived for very much longer in those conditions and could have been crushed along with the car had he not had the presence of mind to investigate the sounds he heard.

Unfortunately 1 kitten did not survive, but the remaining 3 kittens have been successfully homed.
