Trapping and neutering feral cats at a local factory. The sudden closure of Alphasteel in Newport created a
huge problem for After a great deal of hard work and time, we we have
neutered 62 cats that were unneutered & healthy onsite and rehomed 54 cats,
mainly to outdoor homes. Fluffy has a new home!
Fluffy is a dark tortie female who has been in care since July 2007. She has found a new loving home and went there today. A lovely gentleman in Brynmawr agreed that he had lots of time and patience to take her on. Good luck to them both, lets hope that they are very happy!
_________________________________________________ New Cat Care StandardsAs from 1st January 2008 we will be vaccinating all cats & kittens in our care, as well as neutering, microchipping, vet checking, worming, fleaing & offering 6 weeks free Insurance with Pet Plan. We also test certain cats & kittens that come into our care for FIV and FeLV (anything unneutered, strays, sick, from a high risk area, mums of kittens or a percentage of kittens from a litter if we do not have access to mum). Of course, this will increase the cost on the branch and so we are increasing the donation that we request to £45, but of course this is a donation & so any amount can be offered. Although this may seem a lot, especially if adopting 2 from us, please remember that all this could add up to over £120 per cat if you did it all yourself at most vets, & that is without any treatment that the cat may need whilst in our care!_____________________________________ Kittens Dumped in Cardboard Box in Cwmbran Shopping Centre:Check out the story of 3 kittens that were dumped in a cardboard box outside Mecca Bingo Club in Cwmbran Town Centre. ______________________________________ Cat Reunited after 5 years!
